Fighter's Biography

  • Background disciplines?

    Karate and kickboxing

When & why did you start martial arts training?

I started MMA training in 2001. I just loved martial arts since I was a kid, from seeing Kung-Fu movies and watching martial arts tournaments. I started with Karate but only did it for about 2 weeks then transitioned to kickboxing. At first, I didn’t want to get into MMA because of the wrestling part of it, but had a change of mind when I saw my friend Steven Momah and teammates compete in the EFC. I told myself I can do this.

What ranks & titles have you held?

I’m a 2 time national bronze medallist in kickboxing in Nigeria and a silver medallist in the 3rd Amateur World Cup on FCF-MMA held in India in 2012.

  • Favoured technique?

I really don’t have a favourite technique. Any that works for me in a fight is my favourite technique for that fight.

Who is your hero, and why?

My mom is my hero; she was a hardworking and intelligent woman. She’s the reason I’m able to get to where I am today!

What other interesting information can you tell us about yourself?

I am a focused, loyal and confident individual. Nothing can stop me from what I set out to do, I always achieve my goal. I left my newly wedded wife with an unborn son child over a year ago in pursuit of my pro-MMA career and here I am at the brink of success. I really wish to see my son who is turning one soon for the first time and my lovely wife with 2 pro wins to our credit.

What does it mean for you to fight in EFC?

It means me achieving one of my goals I’ve set to reach in my life and I’ll be really grateful to EFC and its organisers for such an opportunity.
