Fighter's Biography

  • Background disciplines?

    MMA

When & why did you start martial arts training?

Started training Martial Arts around 2011 when i got injured plating rugby. I haven’t looked back since.

How did you transition to MMA?

A friend of mine introduced me into MMA after I needed to get fit after a rugby injury. Always thought I could throw down, until a smaller guy choked me out. Knew that couldn’t happen again so I started training more often. Got hooked from first fight.

What ranks & titles have you held?

Think the most prestige title i have is the Fight Star middle weight title.

  • How did you get your fight name?

Got my fight name at 16, when a matric tried his luck with me and I kind of knock him out with one punch. All my friends said I had demi-god like powers in my hands and started calling me Hercules.

    Favoured technique?

I absolutely love throwing knees just something about putting someone to sleep with them, but something that works wonders is that right hand bomb of mine.

    Who is your hero?

Defiantly my grandfather, he was very inspirational in my life. When we talk about the whole fight game though, Anderson Silva is defiantly one I strive to be like.

What other interesting information can you tell us about yourself?

I come from a fighting family. Mike Schutte, who was the South African heavyweight champion back in the day, just happens to be family.

What does it mean for you to fight in the EFC?

Always want to be competing at the highest level and EFC is the biggest name out there. It really is awesome to show case all my skills on a world stage. Although I’m not fighting to be a gate keeper, I’m here to talk that gold; I will have that belt around my waist.
