Fighter's Biography

  • Background disciplines?

    MMA

When & why did you start martial arts training?

I started training Martial Arts 4 years ago. I had studied a diploma in Fitness and Norman offered me a job at Fight Fit Militia. This is where my eyes were opened to the world of MMA and I fell in love with the sport.

How did you transition to MMA?

I enjoyed the mental challenge of the sport as well as the self-discipline it creates.

What ranks & titles have you held?

I am the 1st Female bantam weight champion at Fightstars.

  • How did you get your fight name?

I was diagnosed with pulmonary emboli in 2012 (I had 28 clots on my lungs). It was a near death experience for me. They told me I would never be able to train or compete again in my life. While I was in ICU my mom dedicated the song Titanium to me and the name just stuck. A year later to the day I had my first boxing fight and I dedicated that fight to my mom and I played Titanium as my walkout song and it's never changed since.

    Favoured technique?

If by technique you mean by discipline I enjoy BJJ and Muay Thai. I enjoy the mental aspect of jits, constantly trying to outsmart your opponent. And I love Muay Thai as it's just something that seemed natural to me.

    Who is your hero?

My mom is my hero, everything that's she has sacrificed and done for my sister and I is incredible given our circumstances growing up. She's someone I admire and look up to!

What other interesting information can you tell us about yourself?

Other than gym, I am a very chilled person. I enjoy spending time with my family and fiancé when I get a chance. I love doing outdoor activities, eating cake and watching movies.

What does it mean for you to fight in EFC?

It definitely is an honor and a privilege to be fighting in the EFC. It still feels very surreal. But I am looking forward to making my debut.
