Hlatshwayo Replaces Hassan
Boyd Allen Keen For New Challenge
7 November 2012
Johannesburg (South Africa) - Amos Hlatshwayo (0-2) has replaced Abdul ‘Hollywood’ Hassan, who is out due to injury, at EFC AFRICA 17. Hassan incurred a concussion in training for his bout and has been ruled-out of competing on 23 November. In his EFC AFRICA debut bout Hlatshwayo will face Hassan’s original opponent, Boyd Allen (6-2).
Hlatshwayo, who comes from a Thai boxing and kickboxing background, reckons he has what it takes to get the win against Allen. “I feel like a tiger and am ready to attack!”
The 23-year old Allen is not fazed by the change of opponent, and says his tough training is enough preparation for any fight. “Just my luck. This is the second time that Abdul has pulled out, I think it speaks for itself. I am still amped for the fight and I look forward to representing my FFM-team and testing myself,” says Allen.
EFC AFRICA 17, presented by MusclePharm, takes place at the Carnival City Big Top Arena on 23 November. Tickets on sale at Computicket www.computicket.com and tickets for the live broadcast to Nu Metro Cinemas available at www.numetro.com
