25 May 2015
Johannesburg, South Africa - Heavyweight knockout artists Elvis ‘The bomber’ Moyo was all set to take on Ricky ‘Apocalypse’ Misholas as the headlining Ster-Kinekor preliminary bout until Misholas injured his shoulder and withdrew from the bout. On Saturday afternoon with two weeks to go to fight night, EFC matchmaker announced that Poland’s Tomasz ‘Kredka’ Kowalkowski would step in to replace Misholas and be welcomed to the EFC Hexagon by ‘The Bomber’. Kowalkowski enters the Hexagon with a four and one record, consisting of decision and TKO victories. Fighting out of the coastal city of Gdynia in Poland, from ‘The Mighty Bulls’ gym, Kowalkowski towers over his competition at a staggering two meters tall. With a lean frame, Kowalkowski uses his reach well to set up for his wrestling and takedown’s where he is strongest. “This will be a massive test for Moyo,” stated EFC matchmaker Graeme Cartmell. “We all know he has the KO power, and shown huge improvements in his ground game. Now he will have the chance to prove he is also in the run for the title.” Watch this exciting prelim bout, plus 6 others and the entire main card exclusively live at Carnival City or from the larger than life Ster-Kinekor theatres across South Africa.
