ALLISON STEPS IN TO FACE BAHATI
The fight that was always supposed to happen!
30 October 2015
Cape Town, South Africa – Earlier this year, England’s massive Yannick ‘Black Mamba’ Bahati was set to face Warren Allison at EFC 39 in his EFC debut. This was not to be as Allison suffered an injury in training and was forced to withdraw from the much hyped main card bout. Bahati then went on to face Champion Dalcha and Allison later faced Poland’s Rafal Haratyk in a number one contender elimination fight.
Now, months later in a twist of fate, the fight that was always supposed to happen will finally take place. Bloemfontein’s Allison steps in for an injured Opperman to face England’s Bahati at EFC 45 in Cape Town.
EFC HQ recently received the call that Michiel Opperman suffered an injury in training and Allison jumped at the opportunity to rise again and prove he is a top contender. Stepping in as a late replacement, Allison has agreed to fight at a catch weight of ninety kilograms against the massive Bahati.
Allison has stated in the past that he didn’t feel like he ‘showed up’ when he faced Haratyk and is determined to begin his contender climb again.
EFC 45: Drotschie vs. Dalcha, presented by BetXchange.com, and takes place at GrandWest, Cape Town, on Saturday 07 November 2015.
