MAPHUTHA DETERMINED TO GET TITLE SHOT AHEAD OF DROTSCHIE

Cape Town, South Africa – Considered by many to be the hardest hitting athlete in EFC and aptly named ‘The Truck’, Tumelo Maphutha is set to face his biggest challenge yet in the form of former heavyweight champion Ruan ‘Fangzz’ Potts in Cape Town on 7 November.

“I am going to knock out Potts and get ahead of Drotschie for the title" - Maphutha said about his upcoming fight against Potts next month.

Having returned to his very first gym in his home town Soshanguve, where he began Karate as a child, Maphutha has gone back to his roots. This change in regime has already paid dividends, as witnessed in his most recent appearance in the Hexagon. Now within reach of the coveted light heavyweight title and in a race with ferocious competition, such as former champion Gideon ‘Juggernaut’ Drotschie, he is more motivated than ever to get his shot at gold.

EFC 45: Drotschie vs. Dalcha, presented by BetXchange.com, and takes place at GrandWest, Cape Town, on Saturday 07 November 2015. Tickets available at www.computicket.com.
