Two South African MMA legends set to clash in home of African MMA

Durban, South Africa - EFC Durban is set to be an historical event. The headline fight is already confirmed and the women’s flyweight title is set, and now making it even bigger, two MMA legends will run it back. Martin van Staden and Leon Mynhardt are one and one and are out to even the score.

After two epic encounters the trilogy was originally set for March and then was rescheduled to May, However, van Staden and Mynhardt have agreed to let the fight be moved to Durban in June. It is suitable that the rubber match is taking place in the city that many consider the birthplace of African MMA.

This fight takes place on the main card, just ahead of the women’s flyweight championship fight, where the first EFC women’s champion will be crowned.
